I help good people get through crises. Nights and weekends I'm preoccupied with my own —
it's called artificial intelligence and I can't stop thinking about it.
Before that, I clerked for the Court of Appeal for British Columbia and graduated from
the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
Work I've done
- Helped a major financial institution contain an internal fraud before it became a public one.
- Defended a technology company when a government decided, mid-program, that the rules didn't apply to them.
- Prepared a senior executive to testify before Parliament. They were public enemy #1. They fought hard and won.
- Sat second chair while a $100 million class action got thrown out at the pleadings stage.
- Advised a government on how to respond to an extremist faction that had embedded itself in the community.
- Helped a controversial client tell a complicated story to elected officials — without making it worse.
